A panel discussion on how technology has changed PR within the publishing and tech industries.

The panel will explore how PR is evolving due to technology changes. Panelists will share what works, what doesn't work and how analytics enable measuring the success of every campaign.

Panelists include representatives from agencies that specialize in digital PR as well as individuals responsible for PR within a major publisher's digital department and a fast growing internet start-up.

  • Ami G ( Macmillan http://us.macmillan.c... ): Ami is a Digital Marketing Manager at Macmillan. She started her book career at the Columbia Publishing Course, where she had to be informed by an instructor that the daily sherry hours were in fact a class on networking, and not just an excuse to get tipsy off cheap wine.
  • Chantelle K ( Yelp http://yelp.com... ): Chantelle is the Public Relations Manager for Yelp.com where she overseas all media relations for the East Coast, Canada, the UK and Ireland, and has the opportunity to learn firsthand how the media landscape is evolving. Keep track of her adventures: http://unhub.com/ccka...
  • Russ M ( RussCommunications ): Russ is a freelance book publicist living in Astoria NY. He’s also the social media director for Sunshine NY, an office solution space focused on nurturing small businesses. He twitters way too much and is not responsible for charges incurred from turning on device updates for him.
  • Kristin M ( Attention http://attentionusa.c... ): Kristin is a Director at Attention PR, a social media communications agency located in SOHO. She is a co-creator of Digital DUMBO, a networking event bringing together DUMBO's digital elite to network and mingle and organized the first nextNY panel for Startups and PR.

I was really looking forward to tonight's presentations & discussion but I won't be able to get into NYC in time. I hope someone else can use my spot. I hope to attend future meetings.
