The Palo Alto Future August Meetup

This Week:

What are your perceptions of the biggest, most important challenges facing the world in the next 10 years? 10 years is a good number because it gets us out of our day-to-day mindset but it's not so far ahead as to be completely unconstrained by reality (assuming our mental models of how the works and how it will unfold are accurate).

I'd like to do some brainstorming with the group and then think about how those challenges can be met. Are solutions being created today that will address the big challenges of tomorrow? Will today's solutions be tomorrow's problems because as a society, we habitually fail to address root causes and because we don't take a holistic, systems perspective? Is there opportunity to improve? Where should energy be focused?

I'd like to focus on few key challenges/needs and see if there is anyone has any passion around doing more. Please bring your thoughts to the Prolific Oven at 8pm on Thursday, 5/24.

FYI... as the organizer of this Meetup group, I've been footing the bill ($15/month). I'd appreciate it if you would respond YES or NO to the RSVP and if you attend, please pitch in your share (Number of Attendees / $15). I'm happy to rotate organizers and/or to leverage alternative methods to organize - suggestions?
