The Palo Alto Future February Meetup

  • Feb 18, 2009 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This Week: Want to discuss future trends? Interested in talking more about Singularity? Come join us!
Palo Alto Future Meetup Group and the FutureTech Timeline Project We will brainstorm a list of disruptive technologies, social, or environmental events that are likely to appear in the next 20 years according to our guidelines. We will then put these events together into a FutureTech Timeline. With the Timeline, we can study both the interaction between events and the social, financial and political implications within society. Our objective is to identify events that can lead to potential Singularities. Is Singularity a single event or a cluster of events?

We went though lists of great innovations of 2008. It's a great reminder to see what's next would be available soon. Great that James attended out meeting and showed us a great products he made that would link opieces of info together.

Thank you for organizing the meeting Jack & GP (?). It was interesting ... even if sometimes I was a bit confuse about what we were exactly trying to discuss. Therefore your idea of picking a specific disrupting technology each month to discuss sounds good. We probably need a little bit of structure if we want to get something really valuable out of the discussion.

Thanks again, I look forward to the next meeting!
