Talk about being a Host Family

Meet Charisma Sifferman and chat about being a host family for high school foreign exchange students. Specifically, she has one 15 year old boy who is a comic book fan. Her message is bellow:

"...I instantly thought of a particular student who would fit in with ANY of your families in your MeetUp group. His profile (written by the student) is below! LOI is a 15 year old boy from VIETNAM. I love American Culture, reading comics and hanging out with friends during my free time. I enjoy feeding dogs and cats, so I will be very happy if my host family has pets. At school, my favorite subjects are related to logic things such as Mathematics. My hobbies are very simple, listening to music, reading books and watching sports. I am a creative, friendly and nice person. I hope to join in a host family that includes friendly members like me. I am looking forward to meeting my host family. Has one older sister. DPOK SPOK GPA: 3.90 SLEP Score: 63 Program Length: 10 months Orientation: Private School: No. Allergies: None
*SLEP score is an English comprehension/speaking test based on a score out of 70. So he speaks almost perfect English!

We are definitely on a time crunch with only 7 weeks left to place Loi and students like him!

If you, or a family you know would be a great fit to Host Loi, please pass this information along and feel free to email or call me with any questions or references! And remember we have many more students who are looking for Host Families.

Thanks so much for your time and I look forward to hearing from you!"

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
