Monthly Meeting

  • Jun 23, 2013 · 2:00 PM
  • First Christian Church of Atlanta in Tucker

Our theme for the June 23 meeting is "Summer Madness." We're going to do something a little different for this meeting.
Have you ever gotten home after the GAPCG meeting and muttered to yourself, "My color palette didn't work." "I forgot how she did that." "I got stuck on step 4." "I didn't have enough time." "My finished project doesn't look anything like the demo." Or something similar?
Well, our June 23 meeting will be your opportunity to: review past demos, complete a project, start a new one, or browse our library.
You'll have open working time to work on what you want to do.

If you want to take this opportunity to give a quick demo or "how to" [5 minutes or less] please contact Charlotte at beadbouncer at

Bring some of your work to show off. We love to see what fellow members are doing! This time, we will set up a display for your work, so members can stroll by the exhibit table & be inspired.

REMINDER: We'll also be having a "Silent Auction."
Please donate finished craft items, supplies, or books on polymer clay or non-polymer, anything you think might sell. Bring something you no longer love; leave with a new treasure or two.
And bring cash! There's sure to be lots of treasures you'll want! Remember, all monies collected will help build our GAPCG treasury.

Leader: Charlotte Thomas

Supplies and Tools: You decide what to bring for your project.

!!Bead Bonanza!! ~ Bead Jar
What is the bead jar you ask?
We're starting something new. Bring your extra beads, handmade or purchased, and put them in the Bead Jar that will be present at all of our guild meetings.
When the annual Holiday Party comes around in November the contents of the Bead Jar will be put in our silent auction.

Ok, so you needed 9 beads for your latest project but you ended up making 12. Why not put the 3 extra beads in GAPCG's new Bead Jar? If we all participate and contribute our spare, unwanted beads, the winner of the Bead Jar will go home with a true !!Bead Bonanza!! So bring those extra beads you would like to contribute, put them in the Bead Jar and help the guild raise money at the Silent Auction.

We accept any number of beads for Bead Jar all year round!

We meet from 2:00 to 5:00. Reminder the room must be clean and put back together before we leave.

Another creative meeting. GAPCG raised funds with the best auction I've seen. Five shopping tables stuffed with goodies from art supplies to yard art. Thanks for the donations, support & inspiration (display exhibit).

Although I RSVP'd I would attend I have to change to no, sorry another bad weekend. Pain pills are keeping me right on the edge. I might get a chance to go out to Stone Mountain and just sit and watch the lake. Anything more than that would be too much.

Hi everyone. I'm doing some cleaning and organizing in my garage and studio area & have a few larger or cumbersome items I wanted check to see if anyone is interested to see if I should bring them or not.

    1) Fabric cutting table. It has sections that fold down and stands about 6-8 inches above regular table height so you can stand and cut out fabric.
    2) Assorted 5 & 10 pound hand weights.

Of course I have other items but wanted to check on these to determine if I should just take them straight to Good Will unless someone attending this Sunday would be interested in them.

Please reply if you'll be there at the Silent Auction to benefit the guild this Sunday and want me to bring these items. Thanks.
