December is our annual GAPCG Holiday Party- note date is earlier than our other regular meetings but at same location- and this is a pot luck event with ornament & tool swap (details below) AND an added silent auction event.
ADDED THIS YEAR IS A SILENT AUCTION for those that are willing to participate to help raise funds for future projects for the guild. Bring items in that you would like to donate for the auction: things that easily transported and you think other guild members will be interested in. This is a good opportunity to share duplicate items, new, used, hand made, repurposed items etc. Anything that fellow guild members would be interested in. (Examples: magazines, books, tools, clay, textures, beads, components, finished items). We will also have a community bead jar for those that wish to donate assorted beads and bidders will bid on the entire jars content.
ALSO ADDED WILL BE SOME DEMOS: We will have a few quick abbreviated demos (approx. 5-10 minutes) with stages prepared & stepped out to accelerate time and show steps utilized in the techniques. There will not be time for folks to follow along, but intended rather to show the process so you can try them at home. There will be a number of demos lead by Rita Sim, Ernie Hendrix, and Connie Clark.
ATTENDEES BRING A COVERED DISH FOR A SHARED POT LUCK, & IF YOU ELECT TO PARTICIPATE YOU CAN ALSO BRING AN ORNATMENT &/OR TOOL FOR THESE RESPECTIVE EXCHANGES. THE IDEA IS TO BE CREATIVE AND MAKE SOMETHING OR REPURPOSE AN ITEM TO BE USED WITH OR FROM POLYMER CLAY. THE INTENT BEING NOT TO SPEND MUCH MONEY BUT RATHER EXPAND YOUR CREATIVITY.
