Our location is the recently opened White Rabbit. They have a wonderful space and are letting us take up tables for hours and they only ask that you bring a few dollars so you can buy a coffee or a pastisserie (fancy-speak for pastry). I can personally vouch that the coffee is delicious!

Please join us on Saturday, which we plan to make a "competitive night" with games like Settlers of Catan, Tomorrow, etc. Hope to see you there!

Sorry I am going to have to skip this Saturdays get together. I seem to have caught a cold at COScon over last weekend and do not want to pass it on to others. Catch you next month.

btw, is the theme of Saturdays games free-for-all competitive(king of tokyo, dixit, apples to apples) or team competitive(resistance, taboo)?

    March 19

    • Paul S.

I tend to think of games like resistance as cooperative even if their are traitors. This weeks theme is for games where an we are all pitted against each other. The implication of a team though invites the comparison to cooperative games. So no teams as part of the rules only as a means for personal victory.

What games are you planning on bringing, for those bringing games?

    March 16

    • Paul S.

I am going to stick to just two games for now. "Ticket to Ride" and "Tomorrow: an apocalyptic nightmare"

I'll bring some competitive stuff that I've got. Goldbrau is a good 4 player one and Last Night on Earth can accomodate up to 6 I think. Neither is super complicated to learn.

what kind of games do you play at this or just any that people bring

    March 16

    • Paul S.

I was thinking about ticket to ride since the theme is competitive.

I like knowing ahead of time what game may be played. I can look up the rules online and read them before I try playing. http://www.daysofwond... This one looks like fun and there are only 3 pages of rules. :-)

I'm not sure if I'll make this one or not. I made plans to go bowling with another group at 3pm. If no other plans pop up after we're done bowling, then I will hop on over to the White Rabbit for more fun and games. :-)
