This is the 4th of July weekend, make sure you're not on travel! :-)
We will shoot the Nobska Lighthouse, a small, but very picturesque lighthouse on the south end of Cape Cod near Woods Hole. White picket fences around the light with convenient access to the beach, from where we can shoot the Milky Way, if it is clear enough. However, MArtha's Vineyard and Natucket will provide substantial glow.
If skies are not clear, we can wonder on to Woods Hole and capture lots of marine themes along the water near 56 Water Street (where the parking is).
Sun sets at 8:25 (we passed the latest sunset!), the half moon is up high in the sky, which may mask the Milky Way somewhat, but should leave it nicely visible as the moon goes down and sets at midnight.
When you arrive, please park as far left as you can in the tiny parking lot, as the right side is part of the picturesque scenery. There is a driveway just a bit north of it, not marked as private, and the lighthouse driveway may work for parking, too, I believe the light is being sold right now.
Suggested equipment: super-wide to wide angle lenses, you will be very close to the lighthouse. Medium range lenses will work better in town for the marine themes, if you choose to go that way.
Please make sure to stay off the street and watch for cars at all times!
This is the tiny parking lot, please try to stay to the left of the blue car.
Here you can see the two driveways that may work for parking on the top left.
