Back on the backend! Continuing with AppEngine right where we left off, Googler Martin Gorner has come to Kraków and would like to do workshops with us :-)
Based on the title I seem to recognise this workshop from JFokus, which is a great conference so I'd expect nothing less from this workshop ;-)
Everyone is invited, but these are the things you MUST prepare beforehand:
"The president is..." a codelab in the cloud with App Engine:
You won the contract of your life. You have to develop the web site announcing the results of the American presidential election. It must have the basic social features people expect as well as the capacity to sustain the traffic of the entire world visiting it at once when results are published. You have only 2 hours but also a powerful tool: the Google datacenter infrastructure.
Google's infrastructure supports 3 billion search queries every day, each of them returning results from 30,000 billion indexed pages. 72 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute. 3/4 of a billion Android devices contribute to trafic on Gmail, Google maps or Google+ and these are just a few examples.
But did you know that you can use this infrastructure to power your next big idea ? Come to this codelab to learn how.
