Here is a partial calendar for this upcoming month, with some
Hackathons starting tomorrow (this Saturday).
If you're looking for the James Gosling night at Oracle, that one is
on July 19th, at the bottom of this message.
June 16 - 17. (2 days) Big Brands Hackathon, SF ($10)
June 16. (6 hours) Opa Language Hackathon, SF
(What the heck is Opa? I don't know. Whatever it is, it looks
interesting. That's why I'm including it here. - Stephan)
June 18. (Mon. night) 2 Different Topics
JS Mobile from a Ready-Made Backend + Android in Space (Dublin, East Bay GTUG)
June 28. (1 day) Google I/O Overflow Livestream + Dev Jam in Moscone
Center, SF ($6.27)
+ Tech Career Expo (free)
June 27 - 29. For the Google I/O Parties outside of Google I/O in SF.
I'd suggest you scour meetup.com for those. In the past, the
svandroid meetup, LG Electronics, Orange, Samsung, and HTC had some
pretty decent parties. This year, also look for parties from SF GTUG,
or SF GDG (GDG, Google Developer Group, is the new name most GTUGs are
going to be switching to). For last-minute information on which
parties I'll be going to, and therefore to find out about which
parties you should definitely try to attend, you should follow me on
Twitter @FrenchAccent. Please do not email me for something like this.
June 29 - July 1. (2.5 days) AnDevCamp After IO 2012, Santa Clara ($20)
2 Hackathons merged into 1: Android Hackathon + NFC Hackathon
July 13 - 15. (2.5 days) AT&T Hackathon, SF
July 19. (Thurs. night) James Gosling (Creator of the Java language)
Speaking at Oracle, Santa Clara
