** This is a 4 week class and is the same as the afternoon class. **
Join us for a fun math time with Pam Sorooshian!
We will play a wide variety of games that are especially good for developing number sense, spatial sense, logic, and strategic thinking as well as for practicing specific math skills and deepening an understanding of mathematical concepts. There will be board games, card games, dice games, paper and pencil games, physical games, and more.

Games…...are motivating because they are an enjoyable and social activity that provide built-in opportunities to learn and use math skills....create a positive and relaxed attitude toward math and help reduce math anxiety....allow children to “play around” with mathematical ideas and to try out (test) their own ideas....provide motivation for children to identify problems and persevere in solving them....allow children to learn at their own level because games can be simplified or made more complex. Even when several children are playing a game together it is possible for one child to be learning skills or concepts for the first time while others are achieving a deeper understanding of a concept and others are simply practicing a skill....give children opportunities to explain their reasoning and to discuss alternative approaches with other children.
This is a drop-off class if parent and child are comfortable. Parents are always welcome to stay and observe. Our location has an enclosed playground for younger siblings. The trampoline is off-limits, though.
If you are RSVP'ing for one child, RSVP as yourself. For two children, RSVP + 1, etc.
If you are not using charter funds, feel free to pay online or bring payment to first day of class.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
