We’ll look at different ways to make medicines, from teas and baths, to oils and syrups; touch on the chemistry of plants and how plant compounds can assist in improving health and wellness; sample different common herbs of the kitchen and garden; discuss local weeds and wild foods, and more!

Oct. -Top Ten Essential Oils & How To Use Them: Essential oils are the aromatic portions of plants, and have been used through the ages for health, for beauty, and even for keeping the home clean and beautiful. We’ll discuss, sample, and experiment with my top ten favorites for young women, including how best to use them at home. Lavender, Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Chamomile, and others—we’ll play with them all in this fun smelly class!

Nov. -Herbal Gifts For The Holidays and Beyond: Int his crafting class, we’ll set aside the science for a bit and focus on the important task at hand: learning how to make FABULOUS herbal gifts for your friends and family! From tasty snacks to skin and hair treatments to home care, you’ll come away with many recipes and ideas for creating your signature gifts, forthe holidays or any day!

Dec. -Herbs for Teen Girls (changing bodies and moon cycles): In this class, we’ll look at safe, readily available herbs and foods that can assist in the many changes girls go through as they get older. Not an in-depth physiology class, rather this course will give ideas on how to use readily available, safe, and effective remedies for women’s health and wellness.

Jan - Inside/Out Beauty: Nutrition, Herbs and More for Healthy Skin & Hair. Healthy, shiny hair and clean, clear skin are indicators of health and vitality, and that’s why they are such a basic component of beauty. With a focus on health and wholeness, we’ll discuss herbs to use both on and IN your body to improve the quality of your hair and skin, and we’ll make some simple recipes for skin and hair care.

Apologies for the late notice. Julie's son became ill today and she must reschedule tmw's class. What does next Wed same time and place look like for everyone?
Again, tmw's class is cancelled. Please reply so I know you are aware of this change.
    Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!
