Io non ho paura (I'm Not Scared)
Director: Gabriele Salvatores, 2003. Based on Niccol Ammaniti's successful 2001 Italian novel Io non ho paura, the award winning film is set during Italy's anni di piombo, a time riddled with terrorism and kidnapping in the 1970s. The film was beautifully shot in Basilicata and Puglia, the cinematographer taking advantage of the quiet pastoral landscapes of Southern Italy. The child actors, many local kids headed up by previously unknown Giuseppe Cristiano, own the film. 108 minutes All films in Italian with English subtitles
Logan Walker film lecturer, SJSU, will introduce and field questions about all films. This a no-host event but look for some familiar faces.
