Spring Italian Film Series-Mine Vaganti (Loose Cannons)

Come over, with friends or solo, to Cabrillo College's Art History Forum room for this free event sponsored by the Dante Alighieri Society of Santa Cruz, held under the auspices of Instituto Italiano di Cultura, San Francisco.

This month's selection is:
Mine Vaganti (Loose Cannons)
Director: Ferzan Ozpetek, 2010. This is a beautifully shot, slick and funny film set in Lecce, Puglia, in traditional Southern Italy. Tommaso (Riccardo Scamarcio), a duty-bound son in the historic, multi-generational pasta-making Cantones family, learns the importance of being true to himself. 110 minutes

Logan Walker film lecturer, SJSU, will introduce and field questions about all films. This a no-host event but look for some familiar faces.

YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN US AT 6:30 PM OUTSIDE THE THEATER WITH AN ITALIAN SNACK AND NON ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE TO SHARE!

Hi all, I went to Capitola with my mom today. We got back late and I am tired. Have fun! I hope to attend next time.

That's a good question, Grace. I was wondering the same thing. Maybe some Bruschetta of some kind? I would say, just bring any kind of snack to share -- as long as it's good!

I don't know yet if I am working on Sunday, but I will plan on being there unless my schedule conflicts. Looking forward to it!!! I know how to make an Italian dinner, but what kinds of foods are served as snacks?
