March 2012 Meeting

Our March meeting will be at the University of Connecticut School of Law, Library Building, Room 233 (Computer Lab). Street address: 39 Elizabeth Street, Hartford, CT 06105. See "LB" building on the campus map.

Walk up the walkway ramp to the main entrance of the Library.  Upon entering, turn right and the elevators will be at 11 o'clock which will be taken down one floor to floor 2.  Upon exiting the elevator the computer labs will be on the left clearly visible.  We'll be meeting in the smaller of the two labs which is room #233.  Linux signs will be posted on that floor.

This meeting will be a general open discussion session as we check out the new venue. Bring your laptop (free WiFi) or your favorite Live Linux Distro (CD or USB) and we can go over Linux questions as a group. If you can't make it in person, information about how to join the meeting via Google Hangout will be forthcoming.

Location was great. Need to better publicize exact location. Also, need to add some structure to the event (speaker, software exchange, demos, etc.)

i'm interested in learning how to set up a USB wi-fi adapter, and how to clone a Linux distro on a USB stick. would this be an appropriate venue to get help with that kind of thing?
