What: Bob Vogel will give an overview of his efforts to update GMorgan, a free midi software which can mix, layer voices, enter leadsheet, play accompaniment, display chords. As a formerly abandoned project, Bob has volunteered time to bring this project back to life. For a preview, see an older Youtube video at Time permitting, Mike Newman will also talk about other MIDI tools in Linux, and give an overview of how Ubuntu is used to run his website. The meeting room is tentatively set for the University of Hartford, United Technologies Hall. Exact room details to be determined soon. Can't make it in person?
