Re: [GHGLUG] Social Meetings

As an aside, there are 3 other tech-related groups in Hartford that have come to life in the last 6 months:
- an ACM chapter: They're hosting monthly speaker nights now, getting the ball rolling.
- the Ruby group has come back to life:!forum/hartford-ruby-brigade
- a JavaScript group has started:

The Ruby & JS groups are cross-talking a lot, which is great. Swing by any of the upcoming meetings, and talk to some people about it.

Bob, a good suggestion, but I'm not optimistic about it. I'm not sure an
open-ended discussion will go anywhere. How many have taken advantage of
the LUG list to initiate and enter into discussions? I suppose many of us
have issues that come up, but it never occurs to us to pose them on the
list. A presentation at a meeting at least provides focus. Another concern
is that many may not be equipped with "smart" phones. I, for one, am not
really sure that they are ;-(.
