Beginner Mountain Bikers - lets ride Wednesday Evenings!

Are you a beginner mountain biker who is interested in advancing your skills and taking your ride to the next level? If so, join the Wednesday afternoon/evening rides in April (permitting good weather and trail conditions). During April and May we will be riding various beginner trails, such as Prime Cut, Kessel Run and PBR off 18 Road. We will also ride Miramonte Loop, Holy Bucket and Kurts Lane as well as Gunnison Bluffs, Rustlers Loop, Wranglers Loop and Western Rim. After spending time riding these trails and learning some key skills, you will be able to advance to the Intermediate level.

Our first ride will be at the water tower off Easter Hill Drive on the Redlands. Take Broadway West past the Ridges. Continue West for several miles. Be looking for South Broadway coming up on the South side. You will see South Broadway intersect with Broadway. This turn is before you arrive to the Redlands Parkway. Once you turn onto South Broadway you will be heading East (toward the Grand Mesa). Continue East until you see Easter Hill Drive. Be sure to wear a helmet and bring water!

Hi All, in light of today's rain, our first ride will be next week at Easter Hill Dr (water tower). Please be ready to ride by 6pm. Wear a helmet, bring water and I would suggest wearing good riding gloves. Please be prepared with a basic repair kit, which should include tire repair. Our main goal is to spin the peddles and have FUN! Each week we will advance with a slightly more technical trail. Stacy Norris, who is a former Colorado Mesa mountain bike team member has volunteered to be a ride leader at our Wednesday night rides. Stacy is fun and a positive force in mountain biking! See you all next week!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
