What is your experience with polymer clay?

I have over 21 years of professional experience and more than 24 years experience working with polymer clay. My sister Ann and I have had our own mixed-media jewelry company, AnKara Designs, since January of 1991. We have written two books (so far) together, as well as countless magazine articles, projects, pamphlets, and brochures related to polymer clay and a few other craft materials. Our two books are Bead Jewelry 101 (2nd edition with a DVD) is currently available in Michael's and focuses on basic jewelry design and construction. Our first book, Liquid Polymer Clay (2003), is available in several electronic formats. I continuously strive to develop new techniques and applications for liquid polymer clay, especially related to fashion, clothing, fabric, and accessories of all types. I also like to push the limits of combining different media with polymer clay.

What sorts future guild demos would you like to see (or lead)?

All of the guild demos I have seen have been enjoyable and educational. Each person doing a demonstration offers their unique creative perspective and approach, and provides useful information about working with polymer clay and materials and tools that can be used with polymer clay. I am open to any type of demonstration.

Hi! I've been a member of the GLAPCG for more than 15 years. My specialty is mixed-media design with an interest in developing new liquid polymer clay techniques. I am a designer, teacher, author, demonstrator, and product/project developer.
