GENETIC ROULETTE Film Screening + GMO Discussion in Tempe

  • May 11, 2013 · 1:15 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Join us for a complimentary screening of Genetic Roulette and gain invaluable knowledge on the documented health risks of GMOs and how to avoid them.

We will also discuss current GM news and various ways to get involved with the statewide movement.

However, the #1 first step is to simply educate yourself, so you can then educate your friends and your family.

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) is easily one of the most dangerous health and environmental problems we face!

Even a small percentage of health conscience shoppers (estimated 5%) actively avoiding genetically modified (GM) brands is enough to trigger an industry-wide cleanout by demanding food manufacturers pay attention due to their shrinking profit margins. It’s been done before!

Please visit GMO-FREEPhoenix.com and subscribe to our blog for group ACTION UPDATES. There you can also easily share the local AZ Non-GMO movement with your facebook friends and twitter followers!

Thanks both to Sarah and Sean Paul Lavine for your valuable time and energy today to provide us with a thoughtful and informative meeting.

Sean, I hope Rachel Linden will have time to digest the article that I gave you today and will be able to provide some helpful counter points.

I plan to attend. As a rural Midwest transplant, I am looking forward to connecting with conscientious consumers and farmers who promote use of non-transgenic seed.

Happy to have found a local group here in AZ. I would like not only to be a participant in getting the word out about GMO's to others, but I would also love to be a part of the movement that will eventually put MONSANTO out of business!! In the meantime, I'll just keep singing my favorite song: "Hey look, I dont want to eat poison, I dont want gene mutations at my dinner reservations, its a food abomination. Uh oh, Uh oh, just say no to GMO , O, O .."

Hi Susan, yes I believe there are 22 other states planning to get labeling on the ballot. GMO Free Arizona will be discussing volunteer opportunities for that including fliering, tabeling etc and also volunteer opportunities will be posted to this group as they come up

I am a recent member of the non-GMO club after just one meeting.
The one thing I strongly support is labeling all products to indicate if they have been genetically modified.

Hello and thanks for the invite,
I have seen most of these films over the years and follow the many websites dealing with this issue. I am very committed to trying to get GMO's out of our foods, get those labeled who do have them and finally, to get them eliminated.

I will not be able to attend your showing, but I hope you have a large crowd!
    Regards,
    Susan
