Please read the message below about the passing of our friend and fellow patriot Sonny Bourgeois.

Many of you probably remember Sonny (and Mike Walsh of NS 912) coming to speak to us about their success in defeating plans for the Agenda 21 TDR ( Transfer of Development Rights) plans on the Northshore last year. Sonny has been working closely with me and GNOTP for several years, shared his SENATE WATCH research , and has also been hilighted on our Meetup site posts. He was a true patriot who loved this country and never faltered in his dedication to halting our slide into a totalitarian state.

We agree with Kris's sentiment below....... you could always count on Sonny and it was a privilege to be his friend. We will miss him terribly.

Subject: [Northshore912] 912 LOSES A PATRIOT

I regret to inform you that our fellow patriot, Sonny Bourgeois, has passed away. Sonny’s niece told me they believe he suffered at least one or more heart attacks and he passed, I believe, on Monday. I do not know all the facts but will forward more information, such as funeral arrangements, just as soon as I get it. Mike Walsh will let us know if there will be a blood drive in honor of Sonny.

A close friend to us all, he remained committed to our country each and every day. If there was one thing I could count on...it was Sonny at my side. I feel honored to have been his friend.

UPDATE: FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR SONNY

Many of you want to come and bid "Sonny" Herbert Bourgeois farewell and pray along with his family. The funeral will be Saturday, March 16th at St Genevieve Church, http://www.thecatholi...

Viewing is at the church from 10am - 12noon, followed by a Mass service. Afterwards Sonny will be laid to rest at Honaker - Forest Lawn Cemetary, http://www.honakerfor...

In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations to Sonny's favorite group, St Jude's Hospital for Children.

If you have more questions, St Genevieve's office phone is: 985-643-3832. So many of you have written many kind thoughts and memories of Sonny - I know he is watching from Heaven, perhaps sending Angels to his family and to friends to ease the pain.

MORE from Carol, Organizer of NS 912 Group on Sonny:

Herbert J. Bourgeois / Assistant Organizer And True Patriot

Herbert J. Bourgeois, better known as "Sonny" sadly has gone on before us on Tuesday evening. He will be sorely missed. He along with his treasured friend Mike have been key in turning around Northshore912 and putting us on a more positive pro-active path. Sonny worked up until the last minute to fight for what our country stands for.

His last stance was to address the Parish Council at their last meeting which can be seen on their online site. Sonny worked with other groups, his own Senate Watch, GNOTP, The People LLC, and CCL, and will truly leave a great void for us all.

I'm so glad I got to speak with with him at the meeting. He stopped to speak to me and my great-grandchildren on his way out to take his infamous smoke break. He told Romeo he remembered when he was as little as his sister.

I am so broken up and will miss him greatly. All of you have meant so much to me and I am glad to have so many caring people in my circle.

I ask everyone to keep his Sons, family and friends in their prayers.

More details later.

Blessings to you all,

Carol

To say the least, I am in shock. After the parish council meeting last week,
Sonny, Mike and I stood outside and talked. I attended last week's council
meeting and was so proud that Sonny, member of our group addressed the
council and pointed out that the council had failed in its job to oversee the
budets of parish departments.

Sonny was so knowledgeable and dedicated to getting the truth out
and he was savvy enough with the politicos to get his point across
without being rude and yet assertive enough not to let them dismiss
what he had to say. He was my "go to" source and we bantered back
and forth on e-mail. I could always count on him to have the best
information available and he could explain things in a such a way that
would set my thinking straight.

He was a wonderful friend and an asset to the conservative cause.
I pray the sweetest angel in Heaven came to escort him on his way.
How we all will miss him !! I can only imagine how Mike must feel.
He and Sonny were such close friends.

My heartfelt condolences to all who knew, respected and cared about Sonny.
Hopefully, as a group, we can carry forward his dedication to fighting the good
fight that keeps us all free.
