Coming soon to streets near YOU !!! All part of the federal government /globalist plan to transform our lives to conform to their mandates on what is "good for you". I'm sure NY Mayor Bloomberg LOVES this plan 'cause when he is done regulating what you can eat and drink..... he can regulate where you go and how you get there.

The sad part is that Mayor Yenni in Kenner, Pres. John Young in Jefferson Parish, and the "leaders" in St. Tammany, St. Bernard, and Plaquemines also think this is a fine plan for them to implement "for you". And in order to dilute the wants and needs of people in each Parish.... this is being considered a "Regional"plan. The "Regional Master bike Plan" is a part of this initiatve to reduce driving and encourage you to walk or bike to work, to school, to get groceries, etc etc.

Does this remind you of the Agenda 21 "Smart Growth" plans?????

You see, we now need "complete streets"..... not ones that accommodate our cars and trucks that transport us and needed goods throughout our communities..... but streets that must provide for pedestrians, bikes, wheelchairs, and mass transit so they are "complete". The "success" of our streets will no longer be based on vehicular traffic and how well it flows and helps us to get where we are going !!! Under "Complete Streets"...... planting more trees may take precedent over more driving lanes or street repairs and traffic patterns. Red lights could all be made LONGER to accommodate "slow walkers" !!!

Here is where we are going:
"The traditional performance measure for transportation planning has been vehicular Level of Service (LOS) – a measure of automobile congestion. Complete Streets planning requires taking a broader look at how the system is serving all users. Communities with Complete Streets policies can measure success through a number of ways: the miles of on-street bicycle routes created; new linear feet of pedestrian accommodation; changes in the number of people using public transportation, bicycling, or walking (mode shift); number of new street trees; and/or the creation or adoption of a new multi-modal Level of Service standard that better measures the quality of travel experience."

If you do not want these kinds of decisions made in your community without your input....you better speak up now. all these parishes are planning to borrow BIG $$$$ to pay for this stuff!!!
