Following a ridge down hill through Giles Wood we enter the hamlet of lower Cadsden. We make our way over Pulpit hill, once an Iron age hill fort to Chequers Knap, the trail enters the grounds of Chequers an Elizebethan manor house and now the country retreat of the Prime Minister. Leaving the Ridgeway we climb through Goodmerhill Wood to Dunsmore where we turn North West to Coombe Hill at 257 meters the highest point in the Chilterns which is topped by the Boer War Memorial

here we have unparalleled views over the Vale of Aylesbury. A gradual descent takes us into Wendover where you can either join us for a drink and something to eat or take the train back to London.

Sorry, I need to cancel my spot on this hike. Have my usual symptoms for a migraine, which is unfortunate and horrible. Story of my life, I'm afraid. Thought I'd let you know before I can't go anywhere near a computer.
