From Dover priory station, we walk through the town to the seafront, we pass Dover Castle the largest mediaeval castle in Britain and the remains of a Roman lighthouse.

A short ascent brings us to a viewpoint where we have fine views over the eastern docks, Dover castle and out over the English channel. The trail then traverses along the famous white cliffs, passing fan point and the south Foreland Lighthouse

to St Margarets, a town that was originally established as a garrison town to defend the coast during the Nepolionic wars.

We continue along the White cliffs country trail passing Hope point and Walmer castle before arriving at Deal and Deal beach where Julius Caesar landed his troops in 55BC. The final stretch takes us along the promenade in front of the picturesque town of Deal, past Deal Castle and onto the station for our train home.

Group tickets are normally available for groups of 3 or 4 adults traveling together. As you arrive at the meeting place I will send you in groups of four to the ticket office. Please arrive early as it cannot be guaranteed that we will have complete groups of 3 or 4. In these circumstances e.g. 2 persons or less you will unfortunately have to pay full fare

Hi Gary, what does being in the waiting list entitle to ?...I guess what I want to ask is (as the great song said) "Should I stay or should I go?"

  • Danielle H.

Also because I work in London, I would need to get a ticket from zone 6 to Dover Priory?

    January 24, 2014

    • Gary

Hi Danielle, you will have to find out from national rail enquiries. £18.75 is a return

      January 27, 2014

  • Danielle H.

Hi, would these ticket prices of £18.75 be for a return ticket per person? If so, when we go to the ticket office would I be able to use my £15 train voucher and just pay the balance on my credit card?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
