This lovely Kent coastal walk takes us from Herne Bay to Westgate on Sea.
Following a Viking coastal trail starting at Herne Bay we head towards the beautiful ruins of Recluver where we will stop for lunch.
From there we continue along the along the sea front and the changing landscapes, passing a site of a Roman fort and the delightfully named Plum Pudding Island. Then onto the cliffs via Birchington (where we can pause on the beach for an ice-cream). Arriving at Westgate-on-Sea there is the opportunity to stop for a well-deserved drink.
