This Scenic trail takes east out of the Spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells to the Crags at High Rocks, which was made the woodland a resort and tourist attraction in the 17th century with a maze, bowling green, gambling rooms and cold baths. Because of it's unusual geology the area is now a site of special scientific interest. We explore the rocks and take the Aerial walk, a series of bridges linking the tops of the crags we will see the Devils oak and the remains of stone age shelters.
Meeting point, 09.00 at London Bridge station in front of the departure boards near M&S. we will be taking the 09.39 train arriving in Tunbridge Wells at 10.27. journey time 48mins. due back in London 19.30.

Then the route leave Tunbridge wells and joins the spa valley railway which we follow to High Rocks we then pass the moated manor house of Groombridge Place, which featured in the recent film Pride and prejudice, starring Keira Knightley.
From here the trail turns south to Harrison's rocks then onto Broadwater Warren which was once one of four medieval hunting forests of the High Weald and now a RSPB nature reserve, with remnants of ancient woodland and restored heathland, we walk through the Warren and back to Tunbridge wells where you are welcome to join us for something to eat and a well earned drink, or take the train home
