Speakers are -

Kenny Bountiful Sun and Holly Paige

Fermentation fetish and the pro-biotic miracle

Kenny and Holly present to you their research/findings and conclusions regarding the traditional method of food preservation that was a mainstay before the advent of refrigeration, lacto fermentation. Contrary to popular belief lacto does not imply the use of dairy products (although it can include that) but actually refers to the various species of lactobacillus friendly bacteria that are involved in the fermentation process but also are a vital component of a healthy immune system.

This conversation is a journey on the history and basic concept of fermentation and how it is beneficial in it's own right but also how when combined with cutting edge nutrition and herbal technologies it can be an amazing tool for creating optimal levels of health and super immunity.

Why is fermenting foods good for you?
- It restores good bacteria in the gut
- Increases Immunity
- Increases Vitamin content in food
- Helps to absorb the Vitamins we take in

What you will learn?
The vital importance of using these techniques to radically improve your immune system which, because of the way the world is these days is important and likely to become more so in the future.
If you want to learn about fermenting foods and the benefits of this will have on your health then this is the workshop for you.

Caroline Edwards

I am originally a dance instructor working with children in schools, teaching all sorts of dance but love to teach breakdancing and street dance most of all.

8 months ago I set up my own business doing just the thing I was put on this earth to do, help people. I joined an amazing company called forever living who retails organic aloe vera products. Through this I  have been able to help so many people with their health from skin disorders to stomach complaints, healthy weight loss to aching joints and all from a very natural perspective.

I'm eternally grateful for being given this chance because who doesn't want to make people healthy and happy!

What you will learn..

Medicinal use of herbs is said to be as old as mankind, The usual form of medicinal treatment in the west.

Today the values of plants and herbs are being rediscovered for use in health and well-being.

Herbs hold a massive advantage of causing little or no side effects if use correctly.

“world health organisation estimates that worldwide, herbalism is 3-4 times more commonly practised that conventional medicine.”

People are starting to learn more about what really goes into our food, water, healthcare etc.

EVERYTHING WE NEED TO SURVIVE IS PROVIDED BY THE EARTH WE LIVE ON!

MOST DISEASE IS CREATED BY POOR NUTRITION AND BAD LIFESTLYE

IF WE PROVIDE THE BODY WITH ENOUGH NOURISHMENT IT WILL PROTECT AND HEAL ITSELF

Mounting evidence now supports the healing power of plants as researchers compare safety and efficiency of natural remedies with chemical counterparts.

So Aloe Vera....

It is one of natures greatest gifts – the medicinal plant being one of its most fitting names.

It has a permanent place in the medicinal folk law of various cultures:

Ancient Text: Nefaitit, Cleopatra, Alexander The Great-- all familiar with the plant

Africa: Lucky Plant / Good fortune / Repel evil

Mexico: Front door / people walk through, good intentions

Ancient Egypt: 2000 years of written texts stating plants are used for cosmetics and drugs.

12 different aloe preparations

Most knowledge in the use of the plant

Is documented in ancient times of being used all over the world

Persia – Middle East – Greece, Italy, Europe, as well as India and Africa

Wasn’t until 1851 that T and H Smith of Edinburgh discovered that it could be used as a digestive aid and had beneficial influence on the liver.

It has been found to have so many amazing properties so much so that around the world it has been given many nicknames:

Heavens Blessing

Dietary plant

First aid plant

Plant of life

Healing plant

Medicinal plant

Most fitting is the Japanese name:

ISHA IRAZU - “No need for doctor”

The plant is harvested by cutting the large leaves and filleting them to remove the outer rind from the gel fillet inside.

Once harvested the leaf is able to seal itself against water loss, a protective film is formed and the plant can continue to live and grow.

Karen Asemper

Karen Asemper is a successful International Speaker, Actress and Life Coach having graced our screens in the nations much loved soaps Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Doctors. This was not however her first choice of career, but after pursuing her first love of dance and training at two of the most prestigious dance schools in the world, Northern School Of Dance and Alvin Ailey, what seemed to be just another punch from the hand of fate in a long line of adverse luck, she was badly injured and told she would no longer be able to dance professionally.

What must have felt like the final blow came after her move to Leeds where she half escaped but half clung on to a past which saw her at the age of three watching an alcoholic suicidal mother attempt to leave this world, then growing up suffering constant racial abuse to varying degrees and climaxed at 17 with her boyfriend trying to put her on the streets as a sex worker.

Not surprisingly Karen learned to escape from much of this torment by immersing herself in her dreams. A dream that was brought to life when a teacher of Karen’s gave her one of her biggest gift’s… a compliment. Mrs Collins saw something in Karen that nobody had ever pointed out before. Through a strength no one can fully comprehend, these dreams manifested into a solid focus and then a self-belief that has powered her into the woman she is today, a belief that we all have choices and the ability and right to make them.

She is truly an inspiration to us all and a welcome reminder that what we hold inside of us can bring us untold richness.
