Brown Bag - Exploring Earth's Moon with LROC

The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) is a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) robotic spacecraft currently orbiting Earth's Moon in a polar mapping orbit. Since 2009, engineers and scientists have used the LRO Camera (LROC) instrument onboard the LRO spacecraft to explore the lunar surface at unprecedented scales (50 cm per pixel), investigate future landing sites, and study the polar illumination environment. Put your 3D glasses on as Dr. Sarah Braden shares with you the top 10 stunning images from LROC, as well as a "State of the Moon" update on lunar science and exploration.
