My long-standing research interest is in Engineering Mechanics (numerical methods, non-linear finite element analysis, elasto-plastic models). Most recently, I have been developing constitutive relations for soft granular matter. I am currently interested in incorporating these relations, which are non-linear and computationally intensive, in Finite Element software. I look forward to upgrading the software to use GPUs and eventually to bring it to a stage where it can be used commercially and in applied research projects.

I teach GPU courses at Seneca@York Campus. I have a long-term research interest in developing models that predict the mechanical behaviour of soft granular matter and in adapting Finite Element software to harness the compute power of GPUs.
We have met 5 times over the last 5 months - we are starting to move to interesting demos now that we have covered installation and the basics - we have over 125 members and are still growing - our members now include seasoned professionals, academics, students, and those interested in GPU technology.
