It would be great if you can give the talk, but if you cannot, maybe someone else will be willing.

Hi Hugh,

Perhaps it would be best to provide an evening with 10 minute or 20 minute slots for people to sign up for, and talk about their own work, or demo something cool they did to the group? This way, people can see what people are working on.

Alternatively, I think there can be a benefit to a less structured meetup that is mostly social, so that people can get to know each other.
