Testing Death Match 2013! Test Automation VS Manual Testing

We have all heard the arguments - "Automation is the only way to do REAL testing...." "Manual testing is REAL testing, automation merely checks predefined expectations..." Blah, blah, blah.

We'll look at this and debate the pros and cons of both sets of arguments.

Look to join us around 6:00, and the debate/discussion/throwdown will begin around 6:30.

Come prepared and ready with observations, questions and I suspect we'll all learn something.

So, as we have before at Salvatore's, there will be a selection of pizza and soft drinks (please contribute $5 to help defray the costs).  If you want something more robust, or something stronger to help lubricate the conversation, well, that will need to be covered by you.

Sorry I couldn't make it tonight all, sadly other things came up. I read through the meetingwords though and it looks like it was a good conversation.

This might be a good discussion for you to invite co-workers/people you know who belong to the "Automate EVERYTHING!" and the "Automation NEVER WORKS!" schools of thought. I know there are some of both in the area. :)

There is a parking lot (car park) next to the eatery - there is a public lot across the street and a fair amount of parking on the street.

I am reasonably certain that no Kings of England are buired under any of the aforementioned lots. Unlike Richard III (of "a horse, a horse" fame in Shakespear) who was found ... under a car park/parking lot.

That's a shame - it's a battle to find the right night, some people cant make Mondays, others cant make Wednesdays - hope to see you at future events that are not on a Tuesday !

This event sounds like fun, but I still have class on Tuesday nights.

I've always been able to park at Salvatores itself which has a small car park area attached, Pete should be able to make other suggestions
