Tester Training and Education

How do testers learn more about, well, testing?  What can be done and what options are there to train ourselves, our teams and those we work with (like PMs and Managers and Developers) on what testers do, can do and how we can improve?

Rumor has it that Wade Wachs will be coming down from Traverse City andchatting with us on training ideas.  We may get him to talk about his recent experience with the BBST Foundations course.

As usual, we gather around 6:00 PM and get down to business around 6:30 PM.

It was a small group, so we moved downstairs to San Chez which made for a different and slightly more informal feel to the meeting. As always, the discussion was wide ranging, and a lot of fun. Pete and Wade had some excellent sources (which Pete has included in his notes) for training and general "how to" research.

Great ideas and thoughts shared. Meeting recap should be very helpful with links of lots of free education available, and used prior, by those who attended.

The discussion was great, we skirted around lots of topics ancillary to testing, but it was really enjoyable.
