In addition to a walk through the beautiful, natural forests of Riverwood Park we'll be discovering, discussing and sampling various wild edibles in detail with wild edible expert Karen Stephenson.
"Wild edibles exist almost everywhere and are in abundance if you forage for them. Edible wild food has naturally grown in almost every corner of our planet for tens of thousands of years. Edible weeds, flowers and wild herbs were foraged and used as food (as well as medications); and they provided all the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients required for the human body to maintain good health. Foraging for food used to be the way to survive."

Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions and be sure to wear proper footwear. This walk is suitable to beginners and it shouldn't be more then a couple of hours long.
Karen brings a wealth of knowledge in the area of wild foraging and I'm confident that you'll find the time with her invaluable.
If you have never been wild foraging I highly recommend that you attend this event. Not only are wild edibles nutritious but they also taste great!
Location: We will meet by the large parking lot on the grass area on the west side.
