In this presentation Michael Keara (@useradvocate) explores the space between UX design and coding practice around user interface string management. Some larger lessons will be drawn regarding the definition of user Roles from the UX design point of view - which is different from the way many developers define the term.
The concepts of string management and user Roles are combined using a case study of an on-line registration system which was required to be ‘comfortable’ for a variety of user types.
Michael Keara is a UX specialist and developer, with over 20 years of experience in both desktop and web application development and UX design. He runs a UX consulting service called The User Advocate Group (www.tuag.ca)
Update: For anyone who missed the presentation I have posted a video of it on my blog at http://tuag.ca/gtaphp-march-201...![]()
