Using PHP on the Command Line

Since July 2 is a little too close to the holiday to have a meetup, we have elected to have July's meetup on the 9th instead.  Our host this month is Raymond Chang Ltd.  Due to space constraints we are going to be limiting RSVP's to 40 people, so if you plan on attending get your RSVP in to avoid being wait listed.  Since we do not have any "good" speakers lined up for this month, I will be doing the presentation instead

In this talk I will be talking about how using PHP on the command line can help you be more productive and make developing more enjoyable.

I will cover things like:

  • some of the many command line PHP switches that are available
  • using the command line to fire up an instant web server
  • using PHP as an interactive shell
  • taking the interactive shell further with a third party REPL that adds some nice features

This month's meetup is proudly brought to you by Mercatus Technologies.

Yup - the venue is not in the 4 noted areas. It may be better to chill out with Pizza & refreshments @ the GTA PHP Meetup. :)
