Despite being held up a bit at smuggs due to bus problem , I would still say it was a very fun and successful trip. The weather was great, got to ride in some serious fog. Accommodations were good, could ride right to the front door at the end of day. Activities organized were nice as otherwise you would get stuck in the room(where you can get hammered I suppose, but still). For anyone going to smuggs in the future I'd recommend bringing groceries from home, as even though there is a little store at the resort, the prices aren't the best. That would be a suggestion if you are a picky eater and plan to cook your food. On site food places are good and prices are fair. Deff would go again especially at this price point.

If anyone is TTCing in, I can pick up from Midland or McCowan RT station. Text me.

Looks like it will be very cold Thurs night into Friday morning then gradually warming up with a high on Fri and Sat of 1C and -2C on Sunday.
FYI, there is a GO train station close to the pickup spot so I plan on parking there and leaving my car for the weekend. Possibility of a parking ticket since GO lots are max 48 hrs parking but that's still cheaper than a taxi roundtrip.

Depends on what is assigned. It will likely be a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit but could be 3 bedrooms.

There is a "Meet and Mingle" event on Friday Feb 7, it would be great if anyone attending this trip can come out to meet the others that are going on the trip so you have a chance to meet before the weekend away.

OK, I have attempted to contact everyone on the waitlist. Those that I have left messages for should get back to me today. Confirmation/payment is required by today. Those not paid by today will be removed from the event - there's already been 3 people that dropped out and 2 people that "aren't sure". Payment has been received from Kevin, Monique and Brandy.

In that case, I need to ask more question. What's the final price with the Sat excursion? How big is that bed? Is it a sofa bed? For the payment, I can't do EMT. Can you give me your account info, I can do a cash deposit to your account?

      January 30, 2014

    • Ed

Sat Excursion is $10 if paid in advance. The bed may be a sofa bed. You can meet me to pay cash as long as it is in the next few days or pass the cash to a friend and ask them to email transfer.

Just to clarify, transportation both ways included? I just noticed it says return transportation included

    January 27, 2014

    • Ed

Lol ... yes. Return transportation means roundtrip. Would make no sense to provide only bus transportation back from Vermont.

Greetings! I am on the wait list at the moment. Shall I just wait until you give us additional details (i.e. who to sign up under in the DC events page, etc)?

  • Jenny

When do we need to submit payment by? Can I do it after Feb.7th, after the snowboard meet up night?

    January 15, 2014

    • Ed

Jenny, I will be organizing and booking rooms for those signed up. Payment is due by Feb 1 at the latest. Anyone that can't/won't pay by Feb 1 (or sooner if requested) should remove their RSVP. The RSVP question specifies that you must be willing to pay immediate if requested. I book rooms as soon as I can. People can still sign up after Feb 1 but can only go on the trip IF : 1) the trip is not already sold out and 2) there are enough people to form another room. The RSVP deadline is arbitrary. I will close RSVP's as soon as we are booked.

Hi Ed! Thanks for the clarifications. My friend and I are in. Thanks for organizing!

Michelle, please answer ALL the questions otherwise your RSVP will be removed.

    January 15, 2014

Better to have her sign up on her own to make booking easier otherwise you have to be the go between on everything
