This tasting group is open to ANYONE who wants to attend and start diversifying their palates with other wine professionals and enthusiasts.

This is intended to be a professional tasting group. The idea is to have Guild members from all levels of certifications mix with people who are wine enthusiasts to get together and evaluate wines with the objective for us all to diversify our palates, become better at evaluating wines and create a sense of community amongst wine lovers in Houston.

The objective for each tasting is to determine 5 components using technical, comparative and deductive evaluation. This is a blind tasting to determine...

1. Country 
2. Region 
3. Varietal 
4. Vintage +/- 2yrs. 
5. Production Technique 

For those enthusiasts that are not familiar with how Guild members evaluate wine, please do not be discouraged to join us. This will be a great opportunity to taste several different wines from world class growing regions. The evaluation part will come with time and practice. We will taste a minimum of 6 wines as part of the blind tasting but there is always other wines to taste. Winners from the blind tasting get prime picking for any leftover wines they want to take home.

We need a minimum of 10 ppl for the tasting group to meet. If you pay and don't give notice of your cancellation within 24 hours of the meeting time you forfeit your payment b/c we use that money to buy wine, water, food, printouts, ice, etc...for the entire group.
