I'm going to this! It sounds like a lot of fun. (I know it's a little last minute but I just found out about it.)
Details:
To celebrate the publication of The Brooklyn Navy Yard, the first monograph by photographer John Bartelstone, The PowerHouse Arena will put on party airs along with possibly even some booze. The book launch party will also feature a discussion between Bartelstone and Thomas Roma, Director of Photography at Columbia University, to add some gravity to your evening.
7-9pm (possible free booze)
Lisa, if you're coming from upper Manhattan, you can take the A train to West 4th Street & transfer to the F train, then ride to York Street. After you exit the station, head north on Jay St. 1 block to Front St. then turn left & head west on Front St. about 4 blocks to Main St. Turn right & head north one block to Water St. - the Arena should be on the southeast corner of the intersection of Water & Main. It's a bit of a walk, I know :) Hope this helps.
Thanks Eric-
I actually have been over there before just couldn't remember which train but unfortunatley I can't make this anyway.
Enjoy!

Genevieve-
Not sure if I can make this. Do you know what train I would take from Manhattan?
