Hey AfroAmericanQueen! (I'm so loving that name!) Welcome to Uptown Girls Harlem Book Club. I hope you can hang with us on March 26 as we discuss "Naked: Black Women Bare All..." There's so much to explore in this book, so I'm positive that the conversation will be rich. We're really a lovely group of ladies and you'll feel like your hanging with old friends. Have a beautiful day, and I look forward to meeting you soon.

Hey gurl. How are you? Hope you had a great weekend. I want to program your number in my phone so I can give you a call sometime this week, but I don't know what name to use. :-)

I know those feelings well. He would cry to me that he was trying to change. That I wasn't giving him a chance. Kept promising he'd never hit me again. Never cheat again. Never call me foul names. Sobbing and begging. He'd stalk me. Said he'd kill himself if I didn't come back. I stopped talking to my family and friends because I was ashamed and they were so scared for me. I'd even get defensive. Love for my son saved me. I know your struggle and hope we can become friends. Glad to hear it. As for me, I can't complain. Have you made any good connections in the group yet?
