game space lab & make - through the looking glass

Change of theme, space games will still feature heavily, but the main theme will be Google Glasses. Justin Park will bring his Google Glasses and step us through the API (in English). We will try to have a second pair of GG ready for you to try out. Then you can try and programm a game for the glasses. For that you will need a laptop with Eclipse and Androd Dev Kit 4.4.2. installed.
For the less coding minded you can try the GG out and try to design a game around their unique interface.

Please bring at least paper and pencil. If you want to work digitally bring your laptop and if you want to program the glasses please have the above mentioned software preinstalled and make sure its working so you can start right away.

Since the unifying language of all tech people is English, we use often English for introduction etc., but we also speak German and Swiss German and we use all 3 mixed throughout the evening, so if you understand only one of these we will just do things bilingual and you can ask your questions and get them answered in any of these 3 languages most comfortable to you.

I hope everyone had some kind of takeaway from last night. If you want to learn more, I would highly recommend the videos in this series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QsIBKxQtIM

Too bad there was a weak internet connection. Could not really test the API with the glasses.

If interested I could bring an Epson Moverio BT-100, which is promoted as multi media glasses. It is based on Android 2.2. May be funny to compare this "dinosaur" to the Google Glass.

Yes sure do bring them, so we can compare them.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
