Really great meetup. A very high percentage of designers got their games played and I felt like the feedback was excellent.

Having whiteboard space for play testers to write their names at the outset would make it clearer how many are available to assign and would help keep track of their contribution to GMG's goals....

I think it may also be helpful if we had whitespace room for people who are there to playtest to sign in. That way, we could easily tell how many playtesters we have when trying to organize games, and we could also have records of people who came to playtest without a game.

I think the new pairing format can work well.

    A good, productive session

Also calling a "snow check". Seems like the way to cause a snow storm is to schedule a GMG meetup.

Darn it, let's hold secret meetings from now on out

Think I'm going to have to call a rain check (snow check?) this week. I'll see everyone at the EGL next Monday!

I plan to bring The Food Truck Board Game iteration 0.2.0! I made a ton of changes since my last playtests, all new board and mechanics!

Notice; red line is experiencing extreme delays due to a disabled train

      Thanks for the heads up

Anyone interested in meeting up somewhere before the meetup for food/drinks?

I'll try and catch the tail end a little after 6:30. Coming in from Waltham and the traffic to the T can be pretty brutal around rush hour. Plus the T has traffic as well.

I'd like to bring a game for playtesting. The game with teaching rules takes about 20 minutes. But I won't be able to arrive at 7:30 pm. I will be there before 9 pm though. Does it work out that it might still get playtested?

We plan to bring Masters of the Gridiron for further testing (http://kck.st/1fcMqyS).

I think the games from the jam should be brought and briefly explained, just to show what people create last weekend.

    • Aerjen

I think that would be fun

Is this event for video game design only?

    January 28, 2014

    • Brian

We actually do Board and Card Game Design. No video games at this meetup.

My post about the Jam games is because a few of us participated as table-top game designers in the Global Game Jam. They just added a table-top section this year.

I intend to bring Colonize to this meetup. I'll be testing new god goals and new flavor
