Playtest Meetup at the Engagement Game Lab

*** This week we're in the Engagement Game Lab in Boston  ***

Bring your prototype, or just your game design sense!

Venue Details

160 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02116

1) You already have the address, but it's right next to the Steinway Piano sign, above the antique shop.

2) Ring the bell for floor four. It is marked "Emerson" on a hand-written tab.

3) Walk to the back and take the elevator to the 4th floor. The elevator is old, slow, and creepy but rest assured it does work.

4) Welcome to the Engagement Game Lab space!

Sort of signed up last minute, and got some great feedback and testing on Circuit. Thanks Eli, Dan, and Aerjen! Although there was only about 14 people, it seemed like we had a great balance of testers, games and designers.

I'll be bringing BioQuest Express, a short version of BioQuest for Boston Fig to fit a shorter timeline. I just want to test whether it works and how long it takes. 4 players, 45 min.

      BioQuest is great, really nice.

BioQuest was really fun. I can't wait to see the game once it has been skinned with some nice micro-biology artwork.

I'll be there with Mech Deck fresh from Gen Con :D

MechDeck was super fun last night, I can see it being a success.

Thanks Andrew I really appreciate the feedback and thanks for playing!

Mech deck and Bio quest were quite fun. I have 1 more bit of advice for Mech Deck.

Color your piece or make them easier to identify. Putting the bots together was like "is this it?... No"

I have considered that but also gotten advice that "rainbow" mechs with all different colored parts would look strange. I might order some colored prototypes just to get a feel for it anyways though.

I will have Producer if there are people free for a blind playtest.

I'll be bringing Leprechaun Slap. 2-5 players, 30 mins (for multiple rounds of testing). It's a real-time/reaction time game, so not everyone's cup of tea

I don't think I'll be bringing anything other than my body and mind for playtesting.

    Business trip, won't be available.
