Playtest Meetup at CIC

Bring your prototype, or just your game design sense!

If you're bringing a game, please fill out the details in the survey. This will help us match games and players beforehand.

If you're coming as a playtester you only need to fill out question 1 and 3.

We'll meet in the Havana Room near the elevator on the 5th floor of the Cambridge Innovation Center -- give me (Aerjen) a call at [masked] if you have any trouble getting in.

Great group for getting your play testing done and gathering valuable feedback from other designers.

After viewing a five minute intro video covering the game, my fresh playtesters got to the end game (their first exposure to RingStone) within an hour-- and broke the game! I was ecstatic. Working on adjustments now. Wonderful feedback.

Thank you for the opportunity to try RingStone. I don't usually play that kind of game but I enjoyed it, even though I eventually got roundly smacked down. Hope the feedback was constructive.

Andrew- your feedback was incredibly valuable. You and Harry were troupers and represented two different kinds of players, both articulate.

RoboRace, 4 players 1 hr. A medium-lite robot racing game.

RoboRace has very nice detail, opportunity, lots of whimsy, and most important-- a regular set of tools you can deploy each round. I got into it. Congrats, Harry!

Fun game, thanks for bringing it.

Appreciated the playtests and feedback on "Game of 49." Benefitted from some great networking as well. Looking forward to attending as a "civilian" next month, without a game, so I can just play and not work!

Thanks all... Draconis Rex needs a lot more playtesting and the feedback I got on Codename Anubis was wonderful

    Big help!

Going to be slightly late, but will be there soon

Running late due to the weather, but I'm on my way.

Draconis Rex - 4 player, 45 min. Game setup is balanced and fun but need to focus on mid and late game play efforts.

Hmm I don't remember if I submitted a game, so here it is.

Ecosplosion (Colonize): 3-4 players, 45 min.
I'm testing it without Mother Nature to get the turtle mechanics to a point I want them to be.
What's new?: No more explosions. Instead you convert the enemy. Also, no more dice.

I'm bringing RingStone abstract strategy and want to test new 5-minute VIDEO guide with unfamiliar play- testers, 1 round X 60 each tester. And want to help test other abstract strategy design or two, and if none available, I'm good as plebeian in card or RPG work.

My "Game of 49" Kickstarter enters its final 48 hours on Monday, so will be looking to introduce it to anyone who is interested but hasn't played. Sixty minutes including feedback.

I'm bringing Draconis Rex, 4 player, focusing on game play 2 round x 30 min each.

I'll be bringing Circuit, 2-3 player game, about 10-15 minutes per round. I'm working on changing a mechanic to give more choice, but not make strategizing impossible. Hopefully I can get a couple testers who have played before.

I'm hoping to have pretty printed cards from DriveThruCards in time for the playtesting meetup. I feel like development for By the Way is finally coming to a close.
