Getting started with WebGL and Javascript

For the April meetup we welcome Craig James who will talk about WebGL. This is a technology that we wanted to learn more about for a while now and it is one that could very easily change the game dev industry.

We will explore differences from standard OpenGL, useful tools and middleware, snafus to watch out for and some interesting uses on the web (with links). We will also spend some time looking through the Javascript code too. The talk is aimed at a general audience.

Craig James works at the Queensland Centre for Advanced Technology department of the CSIRO research organisation. He is also co-organiser of the GPU users meetup group in Brisbane.

See you on April 7th at midday!
