D&D Encounters

D&D Encounters is an exciting, weekly campaign that plays out one epic encounter at a time. Each week, players will defeat enemies, solve puzzles, finish quests, and perform heroic deeds! Each session only takes 3–4 hours to play, so it’s easy to fit your game in after school or work. You are not required to participate every week, so jump in anytime!

This season’s adventure, Murder in Baldur’s Gate, is for characters levels 1–3, and is set in one of the most popular cities in the Forgotten Realms. Players take on the role of heroes defending the city against an ancient evil long thought slain. The adventure is authored by fan-favorite writers and designers Ed Greenwood, Matt Sernett, and Steve Winter, and is playable using multiple editions of Dungeons & Dragons—v.3.5, 4th Edition, and D&D Next.

Murder in Baldur’s Gate puts players directly into the Sundering, a major story event impacting the Forgotten Realms. Fans of D&D can take part in the events of the Sundering not only by playing adventures, but by reporting their results through a custom designed Facebook app. The actions they take can permanently change the course of history and help shape the Realms forever!

Are there any D&D games, Encounters or LFR that are on nights other than Monday and Wednesday?

I don't think so. It would be nice if there were, though.

so if you are new to the game and wanting to learn D&D what nights are good at GT for that?

Kristopher - Wednesday would be perfect for you. We're starting a whole new campaign from scratch, and you don't even have to make a character beforehand. Just bring a pencil, some scratch paper and your dice (and if you don't have those, no problem either).

For anyone worried about signing up for the waiting list, there are two tables this season—that means 12 spots. Feel free to sign up!

Hey everyone! I'll be DMing a second table of Encounters this season using D&D Next rules. We'll be updating the Meetup events shortly.

Will you be running a 6 pm or 8:30 table?

      August 14, 2013

    • Christopher B.

Jonathan - Both tables will be starting at 6. Depending on who ends up at my table, we can negotiate the times going forward.
