New to Pathfinder

On the events page on the main website it says Thursday nights are Pathfinder and Malifaux, but I'm new to Pathfinder and the whole going to a game store to find a group to play with thing. I have played DnD 3.5 and 4 as well as Call of Cthulhu so I have some experience, just not with Pathfinder

I'd like to find some people to play with. I am available on week nights starting at 6pm roughly. Weekends aren't good for me.

Pathfinder Society is organized play that occurs on Monday and Thursday nights at Game Theory. They run modules that last around 4 hours.

Go to for more information. There is a link to two specific guides for creating and playing a character in Society modules. They are both free from Paizo. is the site used by PFS to choose games and tables to be at.

According to the Warhorn listing it looks like there will be PFS games tonight.

Thank you John. Could I just observe on Thursday? I'm not sure if I am ready to jump into a huge group with it's own back story and factions and things yet, it's daunting to me, but if no one is bothered by me watching I may just do that first to see what's up and ease my anxiety.

Still going to read up on Pathfinder Society, maybe I will feel more confidant by Thursday.

It won't be a problem if you just want to observe Thursday. You can do that. However, don't feel daunted about jumping into the group. Pathfinder Society is designed to incorporate new players and new characters seamlessly. The Guide to Pathfinder Society organized play will be your best resource to understanding how it works.
