Matt's Pathfinder game
I'm a DM with years of experience (who actually LIKES to DM) and have been itching to run a naval campaign for a long time. Hoping for a group of 3-5 players (will settle for fewer if there's a problem) who can stay reasonably focused and enjoy a equal amounts role playing, planning, and combat. For my part, I'm happy to work with players to create new classes, items, spells, backstories or whatever...as long as it is fun for everyone. My goal is to have the players enjoy their characters and use them to their full extent. I also appreciate it when clever players foil the GM and involve themselves in the world. I friggin hate railroading.
The setting is a homebrew world I have fleshed out over the years by running it with other groups from different points of view each time. This time around, the PCs will traveling the oceans (but will find themselves inland as well) and will include a good dose of exploration, politics, and emerging technology...not a pirate campaign per se but it will definitely have a little of that flavor. The PCs will start off as bounty hunters tracking down an team of marauders but will find themselves in a prime spot to seize political, military religious, and/or criminal power. Play your cards right and you might end up running a navy, country, guild, or country or two.
Drop me a line if you're interested.
