Gangplank RVA: Website MVP

Are you getting the most from your website?

In this meetup we will identify what your website needs to do for your business, and how to put that into action.  We'll be using the Lean Starup principle of Minimum Viable Product, and discuss ways you can apply that principle to your website strategy.

MVP is different thing for different people. Like to see references if any. My understanding, MVP, by definition, is product, not product menu. Landing page is about menu not about product that may or may not be available. MVP, as a term, relates to lean startup only while "landing page" doesn't. MVP implements complete core/primary/essential property/functions. Essential property is what a thing must have to be that thing. A car must have wheels, transmission, and engine to be called a car, hence completeness is a must. Lean startup is a 4-step process where MVP is developed in first step (customer discovery). We must know how the MVP is used in next three steps in order to develop the right MVP. Otherwise, it is likely to be a wrong MVP. Market type helps to define right MVP.

What is the minimum that is small but not smaller? What is the right cope of MVP and how to determine the scope of MVP? Is the scope subjectively determined that is different from people to to people or objectively determined to be the same for all? In what way does MVP relate to marketing message and competitive analysis? In other words, should MVP be defined closed door or in relation to competitors/markets? In all, what is the basis of MVP, business canvas, market type, competitors or all of them? I will bring some relevant materials from Steve Blank and a case example of dust2pearl.
