Gangplank RVA: The Bullpen (Practicing Your Pitch)

Are you ready to pitch your idea to potential customers or investors?

Gangplank RVA is offering a dedicated night for you to hone your message and make the real pitch count.

Pitchers get 5 minutes to hit the mound and practice their pitch, followed by 15-30 minutes of constructive critique from the Peanut Gallery -- fellow entrepreneurs who have been in your shoes and who are truly interested in your success.

Come practice your pitch in The Bullpen at Gangplank RVA!

(There may even some peanuts and Cracker Jacks)

** Pitchers -- Use the Comment Box in the RSVP to register as a pitcher.  There are only 4 slots available, so register now!

Yes build/measure/learn cycle for both product and customer development. That who do the cycle should be asked first. I need a web content creation lead for the ecommerce MVP to join our 3-person onshore team NOW. Also a few days later, I need a customer development lead who will build a few sub teams. There is a lucrative/transparent/flexible/adaptive reward without traditional/long term partnership commitment to begin with. Self recommendation or referrals are welcome to me in confidence. It is time for Gangplank to transit from academic chatting to real world doing by getting out of comfortable zoon and do sth none has done before.

Start with the Problem you're trying to solve, then employ the Build/Measure/Learn cycle. Ideas are easy; execution is hard.

There was a lot of positive energy and great ideas shared. To those who pitched - don't forget to DO something about it. Start your Business Canvas or go talk to a customer. Something. Anything. So we can talk about it next month!

I was thinking how to go beyond chatting and get into problem solving mode. What are top two or three challenges/problems and how to address them. Get real and hands on, making referrals etc.

Maybe another meetup of how to build teams.

My first pitch night as well and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's not often I get to spend time with such a smart, creative group of people. I look forward to getting more involved with the group!
