Week 2 of 7 - Training for Half Marathon
6 mile run in the picturesque Thompson Park.
This is not a Couch to Half Marathon training. If you have no prior running experience, please talk to one of the organizers.
Your goal is to finish the 5 mile run even if you have to walk parts of the trail. Try to maintain a pace that you can sustain during the entire run.
Your goal is to improve your pace from your previous runs. Try to engage in a conversation with your fellow runners; get to know them. Use a smartphone app to track your pace. mapmyrun, irunner, logmyrun are some of the apps used by your fellow runners.
Just have fun running with the group. Feel free to provide guidance and tips to the other runners.
